(August 8-10)This festival is featuring friday and saturday night headlining shows by Radiohead. To top that off, it's at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ with a view overlooking the skyline of downtown Manhattan. That alone is enough reason for me to go. But since it is a festival...there is going to be a ton of other great music to check out. Its like getting to see a Radiohead concert with a bunch of great opening acts for only about $20 more than a solo Radiohead show. Sounds awesome to me. Some of the other acts on the bill I'm excited to check out are: Underworld, Kings of Leon, CSS, Rodrigo y Gabriela, The Roots, Chromeo, and Animal Collective.
I'm especially excited to check out Underworld. I hear that they are amazing live. They also rarely play shows in the states. Here is a show of theirs from earlier this year in Rotterdam:
